Context matters
Japanese manga often omits subjects and conveys relationships through forms of address and sentence endings. A single dialogue bubble may not give a model enough context. A fluent sentence can still misidentify a speaker or emotion.
If a relationship or cause suddenly seems odd, compare the original and neighboring panels before treating the translation as definitive.
Watch for missed text
Vertical writing, dialogue across panels and sound effects embedded in backgrounds are difficult to detect. Small handwriting, noise and low resolution can make recognition worse.
Use a clear original that you have permission to process. Pay attention to partial-result notices. First read the translated page, then check unclear names or pronouns against the original, the characters and the previous panels.
Check both words and images
Classic translation and AI redraw can produce different results. Redraw may also change image details. Compare expressions, handwriting and backgrounds when they affect the story.
