Why image translation is different
Ordinary browser translation handles webpage text. Manga dialogue is usually part of an image, so it needs image processing and text placement. NodeLane Comics combines translation and a reader in one extension.
Install through the appropriate browser store, pin the extension, and open a comic you have the right to access. The website and extension use the same identity service and account benefits.
Discover, check, then read
On a website with a dedicated adapter, click Start reading to open the reader directly. Other webpages can use Translate current tab but cannot be imported into the library. Grant site and image-host permissions when needed. Source contents are read-only; there is no image selection, metadata form or chapter assignment.
After you choose translation, it works on the current image and the next three. Discovering image URLs does not mean the entire chapter has been downloaded: lazy loading, navigation changes and separate CDNs can affect retrieval.
Keep the original close
When a translation arrives, your reading position is preserved. Switch to the original for unclear dialogue, small text or sound effects. AI can omit or misunderstand content; fluent wording is not proof of accuracy.
A failed page does not block the others. Use per-page feedback when something is wrong. Explicitly requesting a new translation creates a new version and uses the relevant entitlement.
