Permissions and local files
The page and its images can live on different domains. NodeLane Comics requests relevant access when you use image-discovery or translation features. It does not upload source-site cookies, login tokens or browsing history.
Local comic parsing happens in the browser. Putting a file on your local shelf does not mean uploading the entire source file. Relevant page images and task information are sent when translation is needed.
Translation and retention
Classic translation uses recognition, text translation, cleanup and typesetting. Redraw sends page images to an image model. Original and final images are retained in private storage by default to support recovery and result reuse.
Identical image bytes may share a storage object. Matching completed translations may be reused when content, mode, language and effective configuration agree. Personal tasks and access records remain user-scoped.
What deletion means
Deleting a personal record revokes that access; it does not promise immediate physical erasure of a shared object. Other valid references may remain, and an already issued short-lived URL may work until it expires.
